History of AMAHOF

The Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame (Inc) was founded in 1996 by the late Professor Brian Gallon (1952 - 2001) in conjunction with Master Frank Tasetano (President of the World Karate Union Hall of Fame).  Professor Gallon resigned as President of AMAHOF in October 1998 and was replaced by Kyoshi Ramon Lawrence.

Each year, The Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame offers an opportunity to the public, readers, instructors, parents, physicians in sports medicine, whether or not they are Martial Artists, and non Martial Artists who contribute unselfishly to the growth of Martial Arts.

Nomination ballots are sent out all over the world to nominate someone, or as many choices that they so feel deserve the honour/recognition.  We do not compete with any other Hall of Fame or organisation, or ask for membership fees to join.  There are those that will recognise the true validity of The Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
